The Shafer's have been offering quality natural and organic products since 1976 with the intention of helping our community live a vibrant life.

 

Fred opened Taste of Dawn Natural Foods in the winter of 1976, a pioneer in the natural foods movement, bringing herbs and whole foods to the community.

After owning and operating Taste of Dawn Natural Foods in Butler, NJ for 41 years, Fred and his daughter Sierra have moved their operation to Harvest Moon in April 2018.

 

Harvest Moon was founded in 1997 by John and Sally Malatros who for 21 years operated this natural products oasis with some of the finest products available. When they were getting ready to close their doors and retire, the Shafer duo was delighted for the opportunity to move into a new location and continue the legacy. As West Milford residents, it has been great to keep Harvest Moon going strong in our home community.
